About the Foundation
Foundation Academic Centre for Legal and Business Analyses
The Foundation was established by Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań and Professor Maciej Gutowski in 2022. It is an apolitical, independent, non-governmental, non-profit entity conducting scientific research, research work, educational and popularisation activities for the public good.
The motto of the Foundation is ‘Law for the economy’. Its main objective is to support the economy by initiating and implementing activities for the development of law and economics. In particular, the Foundation aims to conduct cooperation with the business community and to work out, within the framework of this cooperation, conclusions de lege lata and de lege ferenda as to the shape and quality of the law of significant importance for the functioning of the economy of the Republic of Poland and the formation of civil society. Its projects in the field of legal and economic sciences, as well as analyses of the market and the state of the economy of the Republic of Poland, provide a field of opportunity for substantive dialogue between representatives of science and representatives of practice and business. Its tasks also include the dissemination of scientific, didactic or organisational achievements of the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, conducting scientific and research activities and developing practical competencies in the area of the interface between law and economy by means of specialist training and courses.
Indispensable support in this area is provided by the Foundation’s team, comprising research and academic staff of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, including the President of the Foundation, Professor Maciej Gutowski.
THE FOUNDATION'S STATUTORY OBJECTIVES
- conducting research,
- setting up research teams,
- conducting and financing the activities of its own branches, establishments, educational programmes, as well as organising and conducting training courses, in both paid and unpaid forms,
- inspiring, coordinating and supporting the activities of other institutions and associations as well as individuals dealing with the subject matter of the Foundation,
- international cooperation of a scientific and educational nature,
- to cooperate with other international organisations in order to achieve the objectives of the Foundation,
- publication of scientific research results, reports, teaching and dissemination materials,
- expert, consultative and advisory activities,
- analytical, research and scientific activities,
- publishing activity,
- organisation of scientific events, in particular national and international scientific conferences and congresses,
- organisation of training, internships, didactic meetings, lectures and readings, as well as popularisation meetings and educational trips,
- funding of grants, publications and scientific events,
- funding of scientific scholarships,
- cooperation with universities, educational institutions, professional self-governments, local government units, state authorities and non-governmental organisations.
