Born in 1966. In 1990, graduated in law from the Faculty of Law and Administration, University of Łódź, and took up the post of assistant lecturer at the Department of Economic and Commercial Law, University of Łódź. In the same year, he started court spliklikation and then advocacy (exam 1996). In 1997 he was awarded the degree of Doctor of Laws (dissertation: Liability of a limited partner for obligations of a limited partnership in Polish law, for which he received the First Degree Prize of the Minister of Science and Higher Education). In 1997, he took up the post of assistant professor at the Department of Economic and Commercial Law at the University of Łódź. In 2010, after his habilitation (monograph Liability of Board Members for Liabilities of a Limited Liability Company, Warsaw 2009), he took up the position of associate professor at the University of Łódź. Between 2011 and 2015 he was a member of the Company Law Team of the Civil Law Codification Commission at the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Poland. He is a reviewer in a number of proceedings for the awarding of doctoral and postdoctoral degrees.

He is the author of approximately 80 scientific publications, including five monographs on company law (the fifth one is in print), co-author of the System of Commercial Law, Vol. 9 and 16A and the System of Commercial Law, Vol. 2A. He was a member of supervisory boards in 8 companies (SA and limited liability companies), including State Treasury, municipal and private companies. He is fluent in German and English.
